The Grundfos Retrofit Comfort System uses a hot water recirculating pump with a built-in timer at the water heater and one or more bypass valves (mounted under the sink farthest from the water heater). The pump keeps hot water moving, giving you hot water in an instant. This system uses the cold water supply line as the “return line” to the water heater.
