By capitalizing on utility company rebates and incentives, Water Saver Solutions (WSS) has helped JLL/Adventist Health’s four Southern California hospitals cut water usage by more than 11.6 million gallons—with an average project ROI of just six months.
“We chose Water Saver Solutions to help us reduce water usage and manage utility costs because of their knowledge, customer service, and support,” said Matthew Atwong, Corporate Engineering Director for JLL/Adventist Health West.
WSS audits hospitals’ water and energy use and makes recommendations for conservation. The company then works with local utilities to find, negotiate and manage rebates and incentives that drastically reduce the hospitals’ cost of implementing the recommendations. At Adventist Health’s Bakersfield, Glendale, Simi Valley and White Memorial locations, that included installing anti-microbial, flow-optimized faucet laminars; shower heads; and dual-flush toilet handles that save water.
Now WSS is gearing up to deliver even more savings for JLL/Adventist Health. The healthcare provider was so pleased with WSS’ Southern California achievements that they expanded the contract. This month, WSS will begin a comprehensive energy audit of Adventist Health’s six Northern California and five Central California hospitals, starting with Lodi.
Based in Roseville, CA, Adventist Health has 19 hospitals with more than 2,700 beds in California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington.
